Hi, I'm Jeremy.

I am the owner of Wild Oak Designs.  I worked for a few firms, both commercial and residential, and eventually went out on my own and started Wild Oak Designs.  This is the only career I've ever had and after more than 25 years of work, it has soaked into my DNA.  It is literally part of me. Really though, I think it's always been there.

This dapper guy is my Great Grandfather, Milton Popple Tilley.  He was an Architect and Engineer back in Virginia in the early 1900's.  I actually still have his drafting tools from 100 years ago.

Milton was the inspiration for this guy, his son, Henry Raymond Tilley (Ray).  Ray went to college and thought he was going to start the journey to being an Architect, but he was called up to serve his country instead.  So, Ray didn't have the chance to finish his degree.

And Ray was the inspiration for this guy, his son and my father, Jefferey Cranston Tilley.  Jefferey followed in his father's military footsteps and enlisted as a Marine during the Vietnam War.  After serving his country and meeting my mom he used the G.I. bill to attend the School of Architecture at the University of Arizona.  Jefferey's first child, a daughter, was born shortly after he started at the U of A.  He quickly realized that the long path of college and internships to become an Architect wasn't going to put food on the table quickly enough and so never finished his degree in Architecture.  Instead he went to work to support his growing family.

And all of those people were the inspiration for me to give it a try.  When I was 15 I took my first course in drafting and was hooked.  I attended Texas A&M University (Class of 00', Whoop!) where I graduated with a bachelor in Environmental Design.  After A&M, I started my career.  Over the past 25 years I've worked on everything from hospitals in Turkey to cabins in Vail.  However, residential work has always called to me.  Designing a commercial building is interesting, but helping a family build their dreams can be inspiring.  I enjoy the details that make the difference between a house and a home.  A home is more than a place to live.  It's holidays, cooking, movie nights, screaming kids, laughing, fighting, chaos and peace all at the same time.  I want to get to know my clients before a single line is drawn so that every corner of your home is tailored to you and your family.  I put the same thought and effort towards every job, no matter how big or small.  The process of building or updating a home is difficult, and can only be successful when everyone is working together on the same goal.  For me, a project is only complete when you can walk into the space we created together and know that you and your family have finally reached your someday.
